Thousands of children dream of “The Young Developer” course

The Digital Development Center (DDC) in collaboration with UNESCO Iraq, today concluded the first training course to build the capabilities of children aged 10-15 in the fields of application industry, 3D designs and Arduino.

Thirty boys and girls participated in a one-month free training course with practical interactive lessons on artificial intelligence applications, teaching them how to program applications and how to make games.

This important training course is designed in the context of a joint international program with the United Nations and the Digital Development Center, and “The Young Developer” project targets children, one of the most important social groups.

It is worth noting that this course is the first in a series of courses that the Center and UNESCO seek to implement to reach the goal of training 1,000 Iraqi children. Subsequently, there will be courses to prepare trainers for teaching young children. This is one of the special features of this project, which adopts an equal training method based on up-skilling a team of young trainers who train their peers in a first step towards capacity building in Iraq.
